The newish 2.3-mile train line between Secaucus and the new Meadowlands stadium isn't just a train line: it's also "a unique tour of inflated and deflated dreams, poor decision-making and, most of all, enormous spending." Out the train windows lie the remains of the stalled EnCap project and the starved-for-cash Xanadu entertainment complex. Plus there's the $185 million train line itself, which is pretty much only useful for Jets fans going to stadium a handful of days every year. Next stop: sadness and misery. [NYT]
