There's a lot of hullabaloo surrounding the plan to build condos in Brooklyn Bridge Park to pay for the park's upkeep, but we're surprised by the lack of scary before-and-after renderings meant to show the negative impact of the towers, a tool so frequently used during the Atlantic Yards battles of yore. Hey, here's one! We just spotted it on Pardon Me For Asking, and it's the view from Atlantic Avenue and Hicks Street with and without shiny new buildings invading the tranquility of Pier 6. PFMA issues a rally cry for neighbors to show up to upcoming meetings and advocate for alternative park funding plans such as developing theJehovah's Witnesses buildings into park-supporting housing?a proposal we cannot support, if only because it means less "view studies" in the future.
