Novelist and chronicler of the Lower East Side Richard Price actually lives in a townhouse on Gramercy Park?or did until recently, since the sale of that house just hit public record this afternoon. Price and his wife, painter Judith Hudson, appear to have picked up the house at 142 East 19th Street in 1994. They fetched $9.95 million for it this time around. It sold to John and Jasanna Britton without ever officially hitting the market, which means we have no listing photos to sigh over, though we feel safe in assuming they're nice digs.
