It's a sad day for toasted gooey breakfast fans: the end suddenly seems real for the temporary Pop-Tarts World store on the south side of 42nd Street. Guess that's how the Pop-Tart crumbles! NY1 has the rendering, above, of the three-story glass-and-steel building at 124 West 42nd Street that will house "high-end food, Times Square-type of entertainment or event retailers and certainly more conventional types of retail-like apparel." The public plaza next door is also undergoing a major renovation, which should open this month.
