Coney Island's boardwalk bar Ruby's opened Saturday for mourners, long-time customers, and protesters to drink their last, and the Brooklyn Paper was on hand for patrons' eulogies. The bar opened in 1934 and will have to make its timely surrender by November 15. We assume the street next to the bar will be losing its "Ruby Jacobs's Way" name shortly thereafter. [BK Paper]
