The Majestic's Hot Potato Changes Hands for Another $300K

New, 2 comments

Investment world bigwig and Stuy Town coveter Bill Ackman left one Central Park West building for another nine months ago, when he moved from 115 CPW's The Majestic up to the Beresford. He unloaded his Majestic apartment, #19A, to Douglas Libby and Marianne Johnson for $7.1 million and sold the accompanying staff studio to another pair of building residents. But maybe, without the studio, #19A just isn't worth it. That's the only explanation we can think of for why the apartment has become the building's hot potato. The Observer notes that it has just changed hands again, to a buyer masked behind a trust. The most recent sale price was $7,433,225, for a staff studio-sized profit.
