It's been a long time since we had a progress check on the East Coast towers on the Queens West slab of the Long Island City waterfront. So long, in fact, that East Coast developer Rockrose split up, and now offshoot TF Cornerstone is in charge of the project. Developer Frederick Elghanayan, while chatting with the Observer, dropped in a few details about what exactly is going on where three East Coast towers (two luxury rentals and The View condo) already stand. TF Cornerstone broke ground three months ago on East Coast 4, a 41-story, 380-unit building. In two weeks, the company will break ground on the next tower in the master plan (above), labeled East Coast 1. Confusing! Given how long it's taken The View to find buyers, we'll guess rentals for the new guys.
