After all the years of delays, could the MTA be gearing up for the Fulton Street Transit Center without telling anyone? Actually, considering the eye-rolling and disbelief that accompanies most progress announcements, it might not be a bad strategy. But even the stealth renaming hasn't freed the MTA from criticism: subway riders and Transit Riders Council members showed up at a meeting last night to complain that the new name is confusing, especially for holiday tourists. Particularly when they start wondering where the rest of the Fulton Street Transit Center is.
