City's Strangest New Memorial Plaque Unveiled in Queens

New, 2 comments

A bowling alley becoming a Bob's Discount Furniture is the type of transition seen all over suburbia, but don't tell that to the people of Glendale. Two years after the beloved Woodhaven Lanes closed and talk of preserving the space fizzled, Bob's has unveiled a tribute to the previous tenant, featuring the above plaque, a 1980 bowling trophy, size-7 bowling shoes and other archaeological finds. "Jackpot Bowling" forever!
