The Whitney is leaving its Upper East Side home for MePa, which also means saying farewell to the museum's current Marcel Breuer building. About that: Robert A.M. Stern and New York Mag architecture critic Justin Davidson think the Breuer space should be turned into an architecture museum. And not just any architecture museum, but one with "sexy" exhibits like computer animations, video tours, and scale models. It would also be a good place archive all those failed Whitney designs.
