Another day, another Plaza sob story (unless you're this guy). This time we return to #1313, which, last time we checked, had spent two years undergoing increasingly bloody PriceChops. The apartment, purchased for just over $7 million in 2007 by Italian architect Teresa Sapey, first hit the resale market in '08 asking $9.995 million. It was chopped all the way down to $5.95 million, against the advice of Sapey's European advisers. Now it's finally found a buyer...for $5.55 million. At 44.5 percent off, that's a narrow escape from the PriceChopper Hall of Fame.
