UNION SQUARE?Following up on our recent round of Rendering/Reality starring 15 Union Square West, a tipster forwards along some cam-phone pics of the former Tiffany & Co. building's nighttime light show. Ohm may be going for the whole nightlife vibe, but wouldn't this make a pretty swingin' club? [CurbedWire Inbox]

THE INTERWEB?Shadowy state organization Empire State Development (ESD) has a new website! Innocuous, but it did lead to this amusing rant deposited into our inbox: "Why the hell are all these government sites—Port Authority, MTA, etc.—being revamped? They're not exactly web 2.0. Here's my favorite, though, if only because it was 'created internally at minimum cost' (read: cheap), giving us such wonderful features as the smiley-face/frowny-face customer satisfaction survey. No wonder they've bungled everything from Atlantic Yards to Manhattanville." Oh snap, girlfriend! [CurbedWire Inbox]

EAST SIDE?We've been on a historical kick lately, so we enjoyed this 10-minute YouTube clip of the old Third Avenue El chugging up and down Manhattan. Writes a tipster: "It's an interesting look back at the city 50 years ago. My guess is the video will be 100 by the time the 2nd Avenue subway is finished!" Oh snap, girlfriend! [CurbedWire Inbox]
