The Broadsheet Daily used this photo for its story on the terror trials getting moved out of Lower Manhattan, but we're jacking it for a different purpose: It makes for a pretty construction update on the eternally delayed W Hotel & Residences. As the Gwathmey Siegel-designed skin gets slapped on we're really starting to see the mark the building is making on the Financial District skyline, at least when seen from Battery Park City. Of course we'll have to wait until that big pit two blocks north gets filled with skyscrapers to really see how things play out, but given the pace of things we'll probably all be dead by then. Wow, this little blog post really took a dark turn.
