While everyone else was busy shoveling and making snowmen, Comptroller John Liu announced yesterday that he wants to regulate community benefit agreements between developers and community groups and change subsidies given to megaprojects. Liu's next step: a task force to examine and attempt to reform the community agreements which are often, Liu said in a statement, "examples of what not to do."
