Welcome back to Tuesday Townhouse: A look at a new-to-market townhouse that is rocking our world. Today, we're in Murray Hill.
We're violating our own new-to-market rule today in favor of 122 East 38th Street, a townhouse that has been bouncing among brokers for nearly a year. Currently home to a non-profit that has split the place into four floors of offices and two floors of penthouse apartment, it has a residential certificate of occupancy and can be converted into a 6,500-square-foot single-family mansion. Plus (according to the listing), it was built in 1892 by Abraham Lincoln's son, Robert Todd Lincoln. It's now asking $5.5 million, down from an initial price of $6.795 million. Maybe the PriceChop is a belated birthday gift from Uncle Abe?
