New Jackson Avenue condo building East of East isn't waiting for its steel cladding to give neighborhood folk something to look at. The plywood construction fence has been dolled up with some vertical stripes, which blog LICNYC compares to the work of artist Daniel Buren. (We must say, there is a resemblance.) So is it a nod to the nearby P.S. 1, or do the developers just want to make the site appear taller? Either way we haven't seen such fencing fun since Shigeru Ban swooped into town with his bamboo in tow.
