McNally's Bowery Bricklaying; a Williamsburg Starbucks?; More!

New, 1 comment

This week's top dish from Eater, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

1) LES: Sweet fancy molassy, HRH Keith McNally has yanked the plywood off his Bowery pizza joint Pulino's and revealed some luscious new bricks. The eagerly-awaited spot is about two weeks out.

2) Williamsburg: While the green mermaid setting up shop on Bedford Avenue should no longer register very high on the shock scale, there's still something symbolic about a Starbucks coming to the 'Burg. The rumors seem to surface every couple of years, and the latest is maybe around Bedford and Metropolitan? Maybe even taking over The Bagel Store? Wake us when a Gap opens.

3) Nolita, NYC: Now that the neighbors have successfully chased the Shake Shack out of Nolita out of fear of tourists and blasphemy, Eater reviews other recent NIMBY victories against nightlife and restaurant proprietors. Ah, Forty Deuce, you never had a chance.
