Now that tourists, business owners and al fresco Midtown lunchers have all gotten used to the Broadway pedestrian plazas, will the lawn furniture be made permanent? The pilot program has expired, but the city is being mum on the traffic flow data. What's with the secrecy? The Times reports that officials have categorized the results as 'disappointing.' The changes were supposed to trim travel times through Midtown by eliminating congestion on Broadway where it crosses Sixth and Seventh Avenues. [NYT]
