Followers of the NYT's The Local blog know that the Fort Greene- and Clinton Hill-covering site is now run by CUNY's Graduate School of Journalism. It was just announced that come fall the Grey Lady will have The Local East Village up and running under a similar partnership, but in this case the blog will be produced by NYU journalism students. NYU running a blog dedicated to the 'hood it's so often accused of destroying?
