34 Greene's True Colors

New, 1 comment

What do paint samples look like at Soho's 34 Greene Street? "A too-close glimpse of a deli sandwich?turkey with tomatoes, no lettuce." Except the layers are orange, blue, green, gray, and tan, instead of, y'know, sandwich colors. That's according to the paint expert who analyzed chunks of paint from the exteriors of 32 and 34 Greene Street so the architects could make a historic match. The Times takes a detailed look at that process, but what we're wondering is whether the sandwich analogy will make that penthouse more or less appealing to Alec Baldwin? [NYT; previously]
