While the city, the state, and the residents of One Brooklyn Bridge Park wonder when Brooklyn Bridge Park is going to open and who's going to pay for it once it does, someone out there is most worried about whether it's going to open with sickly trees. Brooklyn Heights Blog requested more information on this treehugger's behalf, and the park's Development Corporation writes back. The trees are in a special nursery pre-planting, and they're current on their vaccines: "Our landscape contractors are taking diligent care of the trees in the nursery including giving the trees special biological inoculations which will ensure that they will stay in good condition until they are transplanted in the coming months."
