The Collective's Menu Goes for Hood Classics; A Robot Restaurant

New, 2 comments

This week's top dish from Eater, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

1) MePa: New restaurant The Collective opens in the Meatpacking District next week, and in addition to some bizarre recycled decor (above), the menu aims to offer neighborhood-specific food from around the city. And the restaurant's made some interesting choices, with a seasonal risotto for Chelsea, short-rib stroganoff for Brighton Beach, and chicken-n-waffle with gravy for Harlem. Anyone want to suggest a food for the WhoDi?

2) Midtown: Eater finds a 1931 ad for a Midtown restaurant where all the food was made and served by machines. Now on the spot? A Burger King.

3) Midtown: The Koreatown fried chicken market is starting to get crowded. Korean chicken chain Kyochon is newly open, and Bon Chon Chicken is opening soon just down the block. Can K-town handle the chicken onslaught?
