At controversial 22 Renwick, buyers have been given the option to back out of their contracts, with refunds, The Real Deal reports. Buyers were given a 15-day window in which to rescind contracts because the temporary certificate of occupancy was not issued by the January 31 deadline. The buyers had actually been lobbying to get out of their contracts on other grounds, arguing that the building's commercial unit was purchased by a company with ties to the developer. But hey, a refund's a refund. [Real Deal; prevously]
