West 55th Street's City Center, first dedicated in 1943, is about to get a $75 million renovation from Polshek Partnership (also the team behind the Public Theater), the Times reports. The plan: better sightlines and seating, restored ceilings and mosaic walls, and a new glass and bronze canopy. Snazzy! But some of the alterations depend on Landmarks Preservation Commission approval, so hold your mosaic tiles. [NYT]
