Last week in Brooklyn's Greenwood Heights neighborhood, there was a wave of accusations that the developer of 620 7th Avenue (fka the Minerva) had decapitated a streetlight at 23rd Street and 7th Avenue so it wouldn't shine right into the windows of the new townhouses at that corner. Paranoia? Apparently! The streetlight is now back, and reports from a local council member and a reporter say it was replaced because of either a traffic accident or routine maintenance. No shady business involved. ['Stoner]
