The opponents of the city's proposal to enlarge the Carroll Gardens Historic District have a new argument: making the historic district bigger will actually increase gentrification in the neighborhood. One anti-expansion resident tells the Brooklyn Paper the move would "re-gentrify and force out whatever elements from the past are left."
