The color red can signify passionate love or violence and warefare, and in the case of big new Williamsburg rental building 34 Berry, we sincerely hope it's the former. The 142-unit apartment building up on North 12th Street near McCarren Park is now ready for action, and here's what developer LCOR wants: studios start at $1750, 1BRs at $2400 and 2BRs at $3820. The building is formerly known to us as 40 Berry, and it ended up looking a bit different from those early Perkins Eastman renderings. There's also no sign of that swimming pool, but it's not like there's a shortage of amenities.
In addition to wi-fi, complimentary coffee in the lobby lounge and a 71-spot parking garage, renters will have access to a gym and the top-floor Berry Lounge, featuring a flat-screen TV, video games, billiards table, catering kitchen and rooftop terrace with grill. The apartments, some with private terraces, have air conditioning, stainless steel appliances, Italian cabinetry and tile and hardwood floors.
