The Port Authority will soon enact the dream of many a New Yorker and demolish a bank branch. But it's all in the name of progress, not protest. The unlucky four-story Citibank location at 34th Street and Seventh Avenue (just west of Macy's) is in the way of the new New Jersey Transit rail link, which, like the Second Avenue Subway, is not a good thing to be in the way of.
