Golden Age Over for Manhattan Renters?

New, 15 comments

The Wall Street Journal thinks Manhattan renters' good times may be coming to an end. The evidence? Owners are no longer paying broker fees for certain types of units in some neighborhoods, including the Upper West Side, Chelsea, Murray Hill, and FiDi. And the prime renter demographic, aged 20 to 34, is going to increase by five million people over the next 10 years. The Journal's suggestion: try for two year leases while you still can! [WSJ]
