Rock Out (for $28 Million) at This Upper East Side Townhouse

This $28 million townhouse at 1 East 94th Street has quite the pedigree: it currently belongs to Warner Brothers Music bigshot Lyor Cohen, who picked it up for $9.175 million in 1999 and did a major renovation, blog The Real Estalker reports. For those whose tastes run more toward the starchitectural, the Observer notes the house was previously occupied (and renovated) by architect Cass Gilbert. But celebrities and architects of skyscrapers past do not floorplan porn make! So how does this place qualify? The deciding factor might be that first-floor garage with direct access into the house.
