New, 1 comment

For years the developers that tossed up new buildings along Brooklyn's Fourth Avenue waxed poetically about the industrial truck-clogged artery being transformed into "Brooklyn's Park Avenue." The above archival photo of Fourth Avenue's bucolic past, which was reprinted on Brownstoner, ran in the latest newsletter from the Park Slope Civic Council in a story about how Fourth Avenue feels like the embarrassing bastard child of Park Slope. Maybe so, but the Fourth Avenue of now has one distinct advantage over olden times: neon-lit nightclubs of awesome!
