The sixteenth-floor unit at The Stanhope at 995 Fifth Avenue has all the earmarks of up-and-coming celebrity: a lot of glamor and publicity, paparazzi (including, um, us) snapping photos at every opportunity, and, soon, its own reality TV show! Or at least a small part in one. We swung by the apartment last night for a cocktail party that doubled as the taping for the finale of "Selling NY," the HGTV NYC real estate reality show that starts airing March 18 (starring Upper East Side brokerage Gumley Haft Kleier and downtown-ier brokerage the CORE Group). Pretty much everyone we've ever heard of in the residential real estate world seemed to be passing through the place (and we're not even sure we managed to poke our noses into every room), sampling sushi while a trio of musicians played classical tunes. We also saw the Kleier clan?who are listing the apartment for $28.5 million?conducting (semi-scripted, it appeared) apartment tours for the cameras, but this is a spoiler-free zone, folks. Take a look at the 8,300-square-foot, 7BR, 9BA place in the gallery above. Does the TV camera add 10 rooms?
