When not playing firehouse with Anderson Cooper, architect/developer Cary Tamarkin is busy building new boutique condo developments in increasingly fancy 'hoods like the Far West Village (see his new 397 West 12th Street) and the West Chelsea Starchitecture District surrounding the High Line. It's there, at the curvy-topped 456 West 19th Street, where we recently got a look at one of Tamarkin's trademark mezzanine duplexes. One of the smaller apartments in the 22-unit building?an 1,170-square-foot 1BR, 2BA asking $1.67 million?has just been kitted out as the model unit to show off the 20' ceilings and High Line views. Have a look around and let us know if you're feeling the lofty mezzanine mania also recently seen up in the Toren penthouse.
