Over on the Williamsburg waterfront, old Domino is looking a bit worse for wear due to WindowGate and all the graffiti. Meanwhile, on LaGuardia Place in the Village, New Domino is looking pristine! Say wha?
Fresh off winning an important conditional endorsement from Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, the 2,200-unit redevelopment of the refinery site is the subject of a new exhibit at the Center for Architecture at 536 LaGuardia Place, with models and renderings galore. New Domino architect Rafael Viñoly will even be in the house on April 22 to give a public presentation on the controversial project, which will soon be debated at the City Council level. Will anti-Domino South Williamsburgers show up to ask Viñoly the tough questions? They'll have to venture into the heart of NYUville to do it!
