One Brooklyn Building Adds Floors, Another Thinks It's Hot

A bunch of Brooklyn developers seem to have been waking up full of happy thoughts about the new development market this week. And we like to honor that optimism, so here's what's happening in the world of Brooklyn condo projects. The Real Deal reports that American Development Group, the team behind Little Chitaly favorite 123 Baxter, has signed on to take over construction at Park Slope's 910 Union Street. The developer plans to add four more stories to the former church/schoolhouse as soon as the project has some financing. So any day now!

Over at Brooklyn Heights' 75 Clinton Street (right), developer Marshall Weisman has decided not to add the six extra floors he'd planned on as he turns the office building condo. But not for lack of interest! Weisman tells the The Brooklyn Eagle he's getting about 75 calls a week from potential buyers. Developerbabble: "This site, it's probably the only piece outside of Manhattan that has that perfect mix of a most desirable location and the place where people want to live. It's the hottest area." Gowanus, you have a challenger!
