Now it's not just your friends and neighbors who have nicer apartments than you, it's also the totally fictional people in Broadway plays! The Times argues the latest group of plays set in New York has unleashed a new wave of real estate envy thanks to the unrealistically luxurious apartments the plays' writer and artist characters inhabit. The set designers do it by imagining "a rent-controlled steal" downtown and then creating it. We wish we could do the same! [NYT]
