Given the state of the commercial real estate market and the fact that some glassy makeovers have been getting panned, we figured the era of the office building facade facelift had come to an end. Not so, according to an item in Steve Cuozzo's Post column today, which has a rendering of the building at 475 Park Avenue South sporting a "shimmering" new facade of fritted glass designed by Cesar Pelli. We don't mind the dark tower being lightened up, but this means that the Kermit-colored building wrap that replaced the old bricks will eventually be gone. We thought green was in?
