How Much for a Townhouse Floor With Basement Lair?

New, 15 comments

PriceSpotter is Curbed's asking price guessing game. We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. Tomorrow we reveal the answer. And hey, no cheating!

What/Where: 3BR, 3BA East 9th Street near Fifth Avenue
Square Feet: 2,150
Maintenance/CC: $3,908
The Skinny: We're going a little more high-end this week to take a look at this Village co-op, which takes up the first floor of a townhouse. Most of the amenities are pretty standard?alarm system, washer/dryer?but then there are a couple of features that bring it into potential supervillain abode territory. First, a gas fireplace in the master bedroom. Second, 1,000 square feet of basement space that belongs to the unit. The current owner rents it out as storage to offset those whopping maintenance costs, but the value of a private basement lair/dungeon can't always be quantified. So how much?
