"Fact is, Harlem has weathered the recession better than most neighborhoods in NYC (yes, I know a couple in Brooklyn have also done fairly well). It is a testament to the ingenuity of small business in Central Harlem (Tonnie's on Lenox and Settepani Cafe on Lenox are a prime example of two thriving businesses outside of FDB) and the fact is people moving to Harlem value the amount of effort being put into making this a great neighborhood. Yes, I understand Harlem has always been a 'real' neighborhood, but facts are facts and it has been lacking in certain amenities for a long while."?CS [Harlem Market Heat Check: 'Gold Coast' Still Shining?]
