Union Square's Nordstrom Rack Opens; UES-Themed Kids' Clothes

New, 3 comments

And now, the latest from Racked NY, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Union Square: Union Square's Nordstrom Rack is now open, and judging by the line, people seem, uh, excited.

2) UES: Brooks Brothers is taking a 3,000-square-foot space on Madison Avenue at 86th Street, and this store will carry the Fleece line of kids' clothing as well as the grown-up collections. The Fleece collection will be "specifically selected with neighborhood tastes in mind." Does that mean Tom Wolfe knock-off suits?

3) Soho: We've already seen the preservation and rebuilding of 143 Spring Street, home of the new Crocs store. Now all the historical context has been completely overshadowed by the actual Crocs.
