We're kinda surprised it took this long for such a thing to exist, but blog FREEwilliamsburg points us to a new Brooklyn-inspired font called Brownstone. The designer says "keen observers might spot influences from decorative typefaces of 19th-century foundries," hints of "the ornate iron railings of Park Slope's row houses," "a slight 1960s vibe," and a bit of Brooklyn's "DIY craft culture." We're not keen enough to get any of that, but we do think it looks pretty. [FreeWilliamsburg]
