The gentrification of Brooklyn's Columbia Street Waterfront District has often seemed to be one of those one step forward, two steps back situations. Here are a few more steps forward at 136 Degraw Street. In early 2008, according to one Brownstoner commenter, the townhouse was in pre-foreclosure with violations. But it sold for $1.2 million, and now it's been reborn as four condos with $749,000-$1,200,000 price tags. And it's also playing host to part of Brooklyn Studio Tours, an event promoting local artists. Congrats, 136 Degraw, you seem to have arrived!
