The new Whitney Museum building on the High Line really must be happening, because Diane von Furstenberg (of High Line sundeck fame!) has devoted her store's windows to it. The window text says of the Whitney's current placeholder exhibition: "This festive intervention activates and visually integrates the site as a whole, introducing playful disjunctions of scale and imagery that act as a perfect complement to and analogy for one of New York's most vital and changing neighborhoods." At least, that's one opinion. [Racked NY; previously]
