We once called eco-friendly East 11th Street condo building Village Green an East Village success story thanks to strong sales in a somewhat untested location during a very crummy time for the market, and now it's time to check the development's scorecard: Closings have kicked off in the 36-unit (all 1BRs and 2BRs) building, and so far two completed deals have reached public record, both on lower floors. Unit #2D, 1BR, 1BA and 896 square feet, sold for $900,000 to a gent named Kyle Kane, 8% off the $980K asking price. Upping the stakes a bit, #3E, an 1,162-square-foot 2BR, 2BA, sold for $1.2 million to a trust, also an 8% discount off the list price. Both units sneak in above the $1,000/foot mark, and there are three units left on the development's availability page. Guess LEED Gold is the new must-have accessory?
