Tenants Don't Make the List for Brooklyner Rooftop Party

New, 36 comments

On Wednesday night Brooklyn's tallest building, lux rental tower The Brooklyner, held a belated opening party (it's already 60% leased) on its 51st-floor roof deck. Brownstoner was there, as were a number of suits. The views from up there are pretty special, right Brooklyner tenants? Oops, sorry to rub it in. A resident writes:

Many residents of the Brooklyner are fuming over the 51st floor roof deck party that the owners threw for their friends. This normally wouldn't matter too much, but none of us tenants have ever even been allowed up there, not once. The roof deck is still closed to tenants, and no one has told us when it will open up to residents. It'll be a bit longer before those romantic DoBro sunsets can be enjoyed by everybody. A statement from the developer: “This week's rooftop event was a preview for The Brooklyner’s project consultants and development partners and their guests. We are in the process of completing the space, and it will soon be open to residents."
