Red Hook's Worst View Gets Improved by Court Order

New, 2 comments

Red Hook Park visitors have been complaining about the 200-foot corrugated metal wall blocking their water views for four long years. Won't somebody just listen to them already?! Actually, yes! The Brooklyn Supreme Court ordered property owner John Quadrozzi to tear down the ugly metal wall in 2008, and after two years of appeals, he finally had no choice but to obey. Since the wall's support poles are still in the ground, locals tell the Brooklyn Paper they're worried the metal monster will be back, and Quadrozzi's recent complaints about trespassers do make a person nervous. Catch those breezes off the Henry Street Basin while you can, Red Hook residents!
