Goldman Sachs is on a mission to change the way Battery Park City shops and eats, and if the firm can do that as well as it makes money, we'll all be dying to live in BPC soon enough. Goldman's new West Street tower is connected to the Embassy Suites hotel complex next door (also owned by Goldman) by a glass canopy. Leaving or already gone are businesses like Applebee's and New York Sports Club, and Goldman is negotiating with new tenants such as Shake Shack about taking space. The hotel will also be closing for a gut renovation. [Broadsheet Daily via Eater]
