Battery Park City's Liberty Twins Partially Unveiled

New, 7 comments

They say finishing last is a bad thing, but the Milstein family is hoping that's not the case. The developers are hard at work on Liberty Luxe and Liberty Green, the last two residential buildings in the bucolic suburbia/landfill known as Battery Park City. According to one StreetEasy commenter, the sales office for the condo project opens today, and there is palpable excitement in the BPC air now that mortgages are back in play. The twin towers are very similar, though the taller Liberty Luxe (32 stories) has an outdoor pool on its roof deck, while Liberty Green (22 stories) has more places to sit without the danger of getting splashed by those adorable BPC tykes.

Blog Downtowny provides the above pool progress shot, and notes that renderings and more details are now accessible on the development's website. No pricing or floorplans available yet, but Downtowny is fairly impressed, notwithstanding those dreaded Battery Park City ground rents. If one pool's not enough, the complex's Asphalt Green recreation center will also have a swimmin' hole. So stop breaking the park rules, darn it!
