September 10: Not the Park Slope Food Coop's Favorite Day

And now, the latest from Racked NY, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Cobble Hill: Construction, by which we mean brown paper on the windows, has begun on the Barneys Co-op planned for Atlantic Avenue. September 10, 2010: the day the Park Slope Food Coop is dreading.

2) Carroll Gardens: Craving some pickled fiddlehead ferns? The Brooklyn Farmacy has finally opened.

3) UES: Lest things get a little too upbeat around here, the Lanvin flagship boutique at 815 Madison Avenue appears to be behind schedule. The earliest opening date is probably late July, with September looking more likely.
