Thanks to a state senate extension of the 1982 Loft Law passed today, tenants living in buildings zoned for commercial or industrial use now have the same full slate of rights as residential tenants. That means landlords will have to meet health and fire codes, register their buildings with the city's Loft Board, and seek residential C of O's. Another thing the loft hostel now has going for it: nostalgia! [BushwickBK]
